The Beauty of Perfection.
Simplicity is a mantra I have
chanted since my early days
in the hair industry. And, time
and again, I have come to
the conclusion that simplicity
is the most difficult thing to
achieve. It is a journey of
continuously reinventing
what is modern. I am a firm
believer that simplicity and
modernism go hand in hand.
Understanding the
relationship between texture,
shape, bone-structure,
complexion and individual
style is essential in creating a
personalized haircut that is
simple to maintain and easily
transforms from day into
night.
Starting my career in 1991, I
moved from Milwaukee to
Chicago and began training
at Vidal Sassoon. Little did I
know the wonderful world
that was to unfold over and
over as my knowledge grew
and artistic vision matured. I
have been fortunate enough
to have worked with some of
the most talented people in
the industry who have been
sources of great inspiration.
During my time as a young
stylist, an instructor once told
me “When you are ripe, you
rot; when you are green, you
grow.” I have heeded her
advice and strive to remain
open to new ideas.
Education is the key to this
openness. I welcome new
experiences.
During my 15 year career I
have worked for some of the
best salons in the Chicago
area, including Sassoon,
Heidi’s, Blair Gordon and
Salonbuzz. I feel quite
fortunate to have chosen a
career that provides such
fulfillment and opportunity. I
have worked on photo
shoots, educated small and
large groups of fellow
hairdressers and mentored
young stylists, but my greatest
passion is working behind the
chair, creating an organic
fusion between cut and
client. Connecting with
clients is a true blessing of the
hair industry. I welcome you
and hope you join me on this
